High Times

Creating strong songs with classic sounding riffs is a challenge that Motherlode eagerly accept. Not content with that, the band comprising of bassist/vocalist Graham Fieldhouse, drummer Neil McBride and guitarist Simon Alexander dare to incorporate improvised jams within their music.

Sure Motherlode take inspiration from rock bands of the late 60s and 70s but they are not comfortable with being a carbon copy of a bygone era, they remain faithful to their own vision. Down this road Graham and Simon (two of the original line up) have nurtured the band through line up changes from the four piece formed in 2000 to the current line up completed by Neil in 2007.

Recent times have seen the boys support such influential rock acts as Glenn Hughes, Wishbone Ash and a project featuring ex-Whitesnake and Black Sabbath members, high times indeed! Jam Rock, Stoner Rock, Classic Rock, Hard Rock, Blues Rock, call it what you will but you will find it alive and well in Motherlode...
